Seeking Help

There comes a time when you have to have help to get through the day.

For some, its alcohol, for others it may be drugs.  Some people cope by getting out of town and just enjoying the open air.  But sometimes its time for a professional to step in and help you get your life on track.

That time has come for me.

I’ve had a really bad couple of weeks.  I managed to chase away three ladies that I was dating, two on the same night.  I’ve heard the following descriptions of me in the past week:

— You are too pushy.

— You don’t listen to my needs.

— You are creepy.

— You make me feel very uncomfortable.

You get the general trend here.  On top of that, my depression has really been rearing its ugly head, to the point where I am becoming very anti-social, and not wanting to even get out of the house.  I have a swim party today, and I’m really fighting myself to get out and go, even though I know I will have a good time.

But I have taken a step.  I’m seeing a clinical psychiatrist next week.   I’m going to attack this head on, and try to get my life back together.

My ex and I have talked, and she thinks I just need to get away and not worry about a relationship, but I just don’t see how I can do that.   I really need and crave the touch of someone who cares for me.

But we will see how it goes.
